4: You Used to be Much More..."Muchier." You've Lost Your Muchness.

# 6: Alice in Wonderland

PG
2010
109 minutes

I'm pretty sure I've gone entirely bonkers! Wait, maybe it was the heavily drug influenced movie... hold on, that was a Disney movie? So, here's this over imaginative girl who lets everyone walk all over her. She has been promised to a ridiculously repulsive man and is convinced to not tell her sister that her husband is cheating on her. The only reason she has become so brave is that she thinks she's dreaming. Suddenly everything is insane and borderline corrupt. Almost everything talks and she's no longer the strange one. What I'm still baffled about is her strange refusal to be the hero. Alice already thinks nothing can hurt her, so why is it what she won't kill the jabberwocky? If you want to confuse your mind and maybe think you've done some serious drugs, this is the PG-rated movie for you.

3: So Why Would He Ever Look Up? That Was Just a Theory.

#1: Avatar

A great adaptation of the classic story of Pocahontas and John Smith... I mean an excellent, unique story line of the Sky People on Pandora. You'll leave the movie wanting a tail, dragon, and awesome tree of your own. It is one of the most beautiful movies; no wonder it won Best Achievement in Art Direction, Best Achievement in Cinematography, and Best Achievement in Visual Effects. The PG-13 rating was certainly a stretch, but they toned down the strange mating scene in the DVD version. Highly suggested to fans of Pocahontas or Sci-fi type movies.

2: You Have That Sharp, Useless Look About You.

#88: Pretty Woman

R
1990
119 minutes

The American Dream: the idea that anyone in the United States could go from rags to riches. Children hope that if they work hard enough, one day they will become a rich doctor, actor, or business owner. A fairy tale, on the other hand, is where a damsel in distress is rescued from her terrible fate by a man of some form of noble background. If Pretty Woman was strictly a story of the American Dream the take home message would be: "Now ladies, if you work the corner long enough... one day a decent man will sweep you off you feet and make you his rich, fancy bride." Thankfully, there is a sense of fairy tale that grounds us and reminds us that we are neither Cinderella nor Vivian. Taking time out of your busy schedule to watch is movie is suggested. Kissing on the lips has never been more passionate.

1: For Tonight, We Dine in Hell!

Shield in one hand, spear in the other. War is a battle of epic proportions where each movement in slow motion looks cooler than the last, and bloodshed is beautiful and never too gory. Each rippling muscle is perfectly sculpted and wearing a shirt would only take away from your honor. As people progressed to modern society, they seemed to have forgotten about natural selection. Spartans should be ruling the world. Instead, the fittest died because they were outnumbered by less capable beings. Who wouldn't want a chance to stare at Gerard Butler sporting an eight pack and a cape? The movie is where Greek mythology meets body building and outstanding cinematography. If you want to feel like you could conquer any challenge, watch this movie and maybe listen to the soundtrack on the way to a test.
